The soft rain added to the mystical feel of the city, it gave it that aura of mystery and allure. It drew people with no hope left in their souls out, with broken spirits out. It drew people that had lost it all and needed the magic of the rain to bring it all back. The poor souls hidden away in the allies, or boxes, cowering in run down shops doorways suddenly all got up to stand and face the rain. Tilting their dirty faces up to the gray black sky wishing they had a better life and others wishing they didn’t have one at all. Little did they know that out there somewhere was someone who could and would make their wish come true; and she was just the person to get the job done. This mystical rain was her doing, one of her many lures to catch some fish in this vast sea she called life. Today was the day Quinn had to take a full soul, just one so that she could work the month without going into her bloodlust and killing mindlessly. Today she would find that one person, so broken down and out of sorts that they would not be missed, that they would welcome her black tainted soul into theirs and let her set them free. Today was her free day. She looked forward to times like this, where she had no pressing matters, no stress, no missions that she needed to complete, nothing. Today was the day that she could draw in the much needed spirits and souls; gather them up and store them away until she needed to refill.
Humming she strolled along the street controlling the rhythm of the rain, and mixing it with the sound of her voice. Intertwining her sound into the storm, lure her pray out. She smiled when the first of the broken hearted wandered out of their little shelters and into her enchanting rain. She let her voice drift out, wrap around the inspecting people and enthrall them; she let her voice flow out and enthralls their broken souls, spirits. Soon her slow relaxed stroll had a nice little following of people, of pray.
Smiling she lead them, singing ever so softly enhancing the rain so that it came down in sheets blocking anyone’s site, preventing them from following her or her pray and stopping her from her much needed meals. She entered a darken alleyway and changed the notes of her song. It went from a soft calming, enticing melody to a more dark and depressing ballad. The small set of people she had enthralled withered around her. Gripping their chest, nearly ripping their clothing off as pain rippled up and down their bodies. Sending their hearts into a unnatural rhythm . One by one they started to collapse their bodies twisting and turning on the ground. Crying out as their very souls, spirits were pulled from their bodies. Slowly, one by one the bodies of her prey slowed their movements, their efforts to keep what they had so eagerly lost failing. One by one their souls rose up mindless to anything but her. One by one they contorted into six little balls of light that was soon swallowed up by her darkness.
Quinn had fed, and she had fed well. Leaving the bodies for the house or authorities to find she walked out of the alley and out into the wet gloomy street. Now that she had fed and kept her blood loss away, some much needed shopping was in order. It was after all her free day; A day for her to do as she pleased without anyone telling her what to do. Like the queen Kitten didn’t get much of a break, or any me time. So once a month a few days before her blood lust hit she would take a day off and gather as much souls and spirits she could. Now if only she could find an new outfit her day would be perfect.

Near Quinn was a loosely dressed redhead. Thin silk clothing that hung on him except for certain places, a soft smirk stood on his lips. His jade eyes were hidden by a pair of shades at the moment, and one arm rested on the brick of an old building not too far from an alley full of bodies. It held an umbrella over his head. Watching as his fellow demon walked by, the male gave a two fingered wave. He pushed from the wall and fell in step next to her, his smirk slowly falling into a frown. He hated the rain, but knew it was feeding time for his companion. However, now she had fed and it was time to stop the damned water.
"Alright Kit, feeding time is over. Make this infernal water stop." He replied grumpily. He was fire, and water put him out. And yet, his companion water. Opposites attract they say, and when it came to it Lucien Lelouch worked very well with Quinn Black. If only she did not make him so moody. Her being younger than him did not help either. While they were both demonic and would live for who knows how long, there was a difference in maturity. She was more playful and bubbly, while he was more reserved and calm... Okay, so he was just pulling that out of somewhere to make his comparison work better. A small fire and he would follow like a zombie. Create a raging bonfire and he was a puddle. And Kit was very, very good at destruction.
Walking down the streets, Lucien knew he was going to end up paying for clothes. It did not bother him because of his mother and the fact he was a doctor. He was loaded to make it simple. Sadly, that meant that little miss siren next to him played him easily. Bat her eyelashes, promise to thrall a few pyromaniacs, and it worked every time. The thought as rather depressing really, how whipped he was. Even worse she did not have the decency to even buy him dinner first.
Still holding the umbrella and not wanting to risk the chance of it still sprinkling, the fire demon pointed out a global trade store that would have more of the oriental kimonos that Kit so commonly wore. The incense in the stores always gave him a headache, and the irritating cashiers always had some gaudy high pitched nasally voice... or they zoned out with music and magazines. It made him just want to burn it all to the ground. He sighed and turned into the store, knowing it would be a few hours before Kit would leave the store.

Poor fire demon, he was such a baby when it came to water…or anything wet. Still she changed the tune of her music slightly and the small little rain storm stilled. It was still gloomy out but at least it had stopped raining. “There you go, no more rain” grinning she patted his arm and walked into the store he pointed out. “OHHH, look at this!” she chimed out rushing to one of the oriental Kimonos she picked it up and pressed it against her small frame turning this way and that way in the long mirror. “What do you think” asking the question when she handed him the kimono to rush across the store to pick up another one and then another one and another one. Soon Lucien was holding at least four or five new kimonos and she was still looking for more. “OH how about this one! It’s black and Pink! I love it” Quinn stated with glee as she placed her sixth Kimono over Lucien’s arms. “Okay I’m ready to try them on!” humming she picked up the six kimonos and made her way to the changing rooms. A few hours later Quinn walked outside with four new Kimonos in hand. “That was very nice of you to pay for my kimonos Lucien, you didn’t have to” Quinn smiled out as they both walked down the street. It was still slightly gloomy out but because her power was no longer controlling the weather the natural wind was clearing up the skies. “Now I’m hungry…for normal food” she added sliding a quick glance over at the man walking beside her. “My treat this time, let’s go eat at Alfredo’s” smiling she grabbed his hand and started walking off toward the extremely popular restaurant. You needed a reservation to get into the place. You couldn’t even step into the door without one. One also had to book in advance, months in advance. But Quinn didn’t need one not with her voice she didn’t. She stopped at the intersection waiting for the light to change so they could cross and enter the restaurant. Already there was a line up forming. A quick glance at Lucien to see if he was dressed appropriate for this place, her quick scan of his person proved he was. “Okay let’s go eat” smiling she pulled him across the street, past the long winding line of people and right into the doors. With a quick flash of her smile, a soft happy note in her voice and she had the entire staff melting like butter. They were given the best seat in the house (kicking out the mayor and his lunch party) the owner and the head chef both came out, kissing her cheeks and shaking Lucien’s hand. After they left telling them not to worry about ordering or even paying for their meal Quinn sat back and smiled. “SO you ready to have your taste buds moaning in pleasure?” she asked smiling at the when owner walked up poured them both a glass of Montrachet.

Lucien felt better as it stopped raining but still looked gloomy out. He shook off his umbrella and stored it. The occasional last drop of water from Quinn's rain hit the redhead, sending jets of steam off into the air. It was made all the worse by the patting of his arm. It was a bittersweet relief when they entered the store. At least he was no longer steaming. Inside Lucien held his arms out while his fellow demon ran wild. Kimonos were thrown to him or stuffed back on shelves, fat mothers with the kids were knocked down, some poor pierced store worker got ran over and used as a stool by Quinn. All the while Lucien was muttering out replies with about as much enthusiasm as Eeyore. "Too big, too yellow, too dark, poor quality..." and so on as she shopped. Eventually four hours had ticked by and Kit finished her shopping. Lucien swiped his card, eager to leave, and began walking with the bag flung over his right shoulder. Outside Kit offered up dinner at Alfredo's. He followed, not commenting on the glance she gave him when she said she was hungry. Alfredo's was a nice place for dinner, and Kit buying amounted to her charming the staff into killing each other to spice up the menu if it would please her. Still, the offer was on the table and he was hungry. Now if he only had a bonfire he would be set. Inside Alfredo's Lucien had his prediction come true. The Mayor was thrown from the restaurant and the two were seated in his place. The head chef and the owner both came out to act as servers, prepared the meals and waited hand and foot on the two demons. All in all it was relaxing, and enjoyable. However, he still did not have any fire to play with. It was easily solved himself, but Kit would not like it if Lucien burned down the building. He sipped his Montrachet and gave a nod when Kit asked if he was ready for some good food.

“You know this is a very expense bottle of wine, about twenty-three thousand dollars” she commented taking a small sip. Quinn had to be careful with how much alcohol she drank. Getting drunk was never a good thing. At least not for her; for one thing getting drunk meant she lost complete control of her voice, and that was a bad thing because she could harm herself let alone people around her. the second reason why Quinn hardly every drank was because she simply didn’t like the after effects of getting wasted. Sighing lightly she took another small sip before smiling at the fire demon across from her. “Thanks again for buying my new outfits. I was planning on only getting one” she stated placing her wine glass down beside her elbow. “Want to talk shop? Or talk about other things” she asked, sitting back when the owner placed down a few plates of h’orderves. They had small samples of Bruschetta with shallots, and Dulcia domestica. She smiled and nodded her head when the owner stated that if there was something they didn’t like just to wave him down and he fix the problem “Thank you” grinning when he left the two alone again. “I eat here a lot this is a good sample display. You try some first and tell me what you think.” she added pushing a few of the plates his way. She hopped he like the food, it was all really good here but sometimes someone’s taste buds didn’t quite agree with the status quo. She on the other hand loved the food here. She would eat here every chance she got, mostly alone. Not that she minded, Quinn liked being along most of the time. It was quieter that way and less chance of her screwing up on a mission. But once in a while she liked hanging out with people. Mostly the man before her and the reaper, they were her favorite people to hang out with simply because they were plain fun. “After we enjoy our meal, did you want to do anything? I’m not sure if it’s your day off or not.” she added smiling when the empty plates were taken away and the second course was served.

Lucien was surprised when Kit spoke up. A very expensive bottle indeed. It had a pleasant taste, but was not truly what he enjoyed. When it came to wine, Lucien was a fan of a low alcohol white wine. To be truly specific, he was a great lover of Moscato d'Asti. It held a sweet flavor and a light alcohol content, less that eight percent. It was a desert wine, meant to be enjoyed with something like a fruit mousse or cake. Still, the wine that was served right now was a rather pleasant red wine. With the wine was a collection of h'orderves. Samples of bruschetta with shallots and dulcia domestica arrayed neatly on plates. The bruschetta was delicious, and had the right amount of crunch without breaking your teeth. The dulcia on the other hand... well, that was just a little too sweet for Lucien. The first bite had been hard to get down, and he did not reach for another date the rest of the time they were available. He let Kit have her fill of the dates and would wait until the next course arrived. As they sat and enjoyed the atmosphere, Lucien thought of the rest of his day. He was on a free day, well... he was consistantly on a free day until someone came with injuries. Without injuries Lucien was only able to do so much; the last time anyone came in with an injury was over a month ago from a training accident. Lucien was just glad that all the free time he had enabled him to give free vaccinations and check-ups in the ghetto's. However, even that was only a once a week thing. So caught up in this as he was, Lucien nearly missed Kit's question. "Well, I have nothing planned. I am free all day and I know it is your scheduled time off for the month. I suppose it is easiest for me to give free reigns to you for planning the rest of our evening then."

“Mmmm “ she pushed the salad around thinking of things to do before biting into the leafy green dish. There were lots of things she wanted to do, go to one of the many clubs, dance, sing, torment some people. Maybe flirt with a stranger. But she doubted she could do all that in one day and or if Lucien would even follower her around and put up with that she wanted to do. Maybe she could go to the grunge of the city, lure some pyromaniacs out for him and let him have some fun…she wouldn’t mind practicing her flames songs. She took a small bite of her salad before answering “well I need to practice some of my songs, to get them right without harming myself. Most of them deal with fire so maybe you could tag along and make sure nothing gets out of control?” she asked playing with her food. She smiled when the owner walked up and asked how everything was so far. She commented on the food, stating that it was wonderful the best she ever had. After that the owner took their plates away then returned with their main course. “Thank you” Smiling she waited until the owner and chief left before turning to face Lucien “So are you amazed? This place has the best food” she asked as she dug into her Turkey cutlets with walnuts and sage. “Soooo Good, want a bite?” she smiled out cutting out a small bite and held it out for him to taste. She didn’t catch the name of his dish but it did smell good so she was hoping he copy her and let her have a small sample.

Lucien ate happily as Kit thought of things to do. She was lost in thought, playing with her plate as she decided what to do. Lucien waited patiently for her to speak again, enjoying the food before him. She went through a few different facial scrunches before finally catching his eye. She wished to sing and have him keep her flames under control? Lucien could do so, and when she sang of fire it usually drew his fellow pyromaniacs like moths to a candle. "I would love to Kit. It is always enjoyable listening to you sing."Any more of the conversation ended abruptly as the owner butted in. He took their plates, and returned quickly with the new meal. Kit was polite to him while Lucien just wanted the intruder away so he could enjoy the dinner with his companion. Eventually the man left, and Lucien prepared to try his Florentine steak. It was absolutely divine, as was the mushroom pasta that served as a bed for the beef. He looked up from his plate to see Kit holding a sample of her meal on her fork. Lucien was about to accept before he saw the seasoning of Sage on her plate. "I am sorry, but I have a small allergy to Sage. However it smells wonderful. Perhaps you would care to try some of mine instead?"

her face lit up when he said he love to help her with her fire songs. "Wonderful! this time I wont burn myself. I did last time. hurt like a pumpkin" she chimed out eating the slice of food she had cut for him. She blinked when he stated he couldn't eat anything with sage on it. And probably trying to rub it off wouldn't work either. “I didn't know, sorry" she amended, feeling a tiny bit down for risking his health that way, but she perked up when he in turn offered her a bite of his. "Absolutely!" smiling she leaned over and the offered bite. Shew chewed for a few seconds before sliding back into her seat "Wonderful!" grinning she dug into her meal chatting the entire time. She talked about how she was putting the finishing touches on a new song. "I love to sing, maybe later if you want you can listen to my new song?" she asked a tad lightly. "It's not meant for destruction... thou mostly just pleasure" she added biting the inside of her lip. Hoping he didn't rat her out or laugh at the fact that she wrote a song just for fun.
